Some more work for my Final Major Project, A Song of Ice and Fire: A Storm of Swords.

I'm using my small thumbnail sketches from my sketchbook, scanning them in and then paint
under the sketches to add more depth and detail into it.

Deadline: March. 28.

Well here is another update on my progress for my Final Major Project.
This is the second sequence I have chosen to illustrate from A Storm of Swords, the third book
in "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. Also known for its
television adaption "Game of Thrones".

More Work to do! But by the way, I got hired by Team Draug a Indie Game company based in
Oslo, pluss my book illustration for "Huckleberry Finn" is for Pan Macmillan.

And here is the current state of the follow up page, a full page illustration ending the sequence, before the reader is left off to read the rest and imagine the rest for themselfes. But the sequence is right before something big happens in the story, so I wont spoil anything, but build up to the moment.

Just one more, its a small tweak from the previous, but it does allot to the image.

Well, here is the first page of my graphic novel adaption of the third book in "A Song of Ice and Fire" series, titled "A Storm of Swords". No Spoilers. There is no text yet, but right now I have trouble choosing how its going to look. The last of these three is the least likely, as I am going to use colour in just some few frames, making it get alot more impact when used. On the other hand I am very tempted by the middle one, with an old paper quality, which matches my loose style for this project well. Time will tell, but I will end up with something very close to this soon atleast, if not one of these.

Book Illustration Commission: Huckleberry Finn

Great news for me today at University!
I was selected to illustrate Huckleberry Finn, the whole book, for a publisher called
Project Gutenberg. It's going to be a British published book, and so far I dont know much
about the commission, but there will be a brief on monday, so more news about
this project will be posted then.
This will be very good for my portfolio, especially in Norway.

Just scanned one of my pencil sketches and painted a bit over it.  Its not anything near
finished, but I need to explore all the possibilities before choosing a final solution.
It doesnt look pretty up close, but it has alot of energy I need to preserve in the final piece.

(Its just a sketch!)

There, finished the sketch, so it looks more presentable, I think I have to make one more to see if I am able to do alot of these quickly, now that I know how to make this. And also experiment and find some other way in case this takes too much time to make for my graphic novel.

A sketch of one of the frames in the graphic novel I am making for my Final Major Project.
Im still trying to find the right way to render mye work, and I have to find out within this week. So the wolf and about everything does not look right, but then again it is the image as a whole I was trying to figure out.

This sketch took me 10 minutes, 15 minutes top, and I didnt even know what I would end up with. I used no reference or anything really, and most of the time went on the fur, not too happy about this one, but I just have to keep experimenting.
